So then lads, after a weekend where we got a decent draw in a high profile friendly with European giants Inter Milan, mob from Mordor get their season underway with a giant killing at Brechin. Decent workout for our Bhoys and Kristy's goal was superb. Looks like he's back to his early 2011 form. Now onwards and upwards to the CL qualifier on Wednesday. With regards to this thread being too long or whatever, well surely admin will lock it if it gets too big. Personally i don't see any problem with it continuing but if admin want a new thread then so be it. And to finish, this seriously made me laugh. The irony....... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19040706

There is much less sniping and hatred in that post than your own average post. Give it a rest Vice, all you do is snipe on here, nothing else.

I'd love to know where the hatred is shining through there Vice???? I'll admit I do find it amusing that the once mighty Gers were playing Brechin City yesterday in the Ramsdens Cup, while we were entertaining Inter Milan over the weekend.
Maybe you need some jelly and ice cream to help you cope with my hatefilled sniping comments?????

To be fair to Tribe he's one of the more reasonable posters on the site and given he's a Celtic fan it's to be expected, if a little short-sighted, that he will enjoy Rangers current predicament. However there are some posts that go way beyond what could be deemed acceptable, I've seen posts that mock the Ibrox disaster for example which is bang out of order. These have no place whatsoever in an adult discussion

pplocal, examples of mocking the ibrox disaster?People who try and portray Celtic and r*****s fans as 2 sides of the same coin are only showing a lack of knowledge of the whole situation...Find and city in europe where both sets of fans have visited and ask the who they would rather have back?I wouldent imagine any lord mayor or chief of police would choose them!

Don't take any notice of him junior. I posted a link to a video of a statue outside Ibrox jumping down off a pedestal and walking away, it was a play on their favourite saying "We don't do walking away". Apparently the statue in question was put up to mark The Ibrox disaster, to be truthful I didn't even know that when I posted the link, the video was well done and it looked funny hence my reason for posting it. Their websites were full of indignation re the video, these websites are the source of most of pp's info so he just picked up on it and tried to make it an issue. pp has made a career on these threads of extolling R*ngers and slagging Celtic, if our positions were reversed he would be having a field day, now he is reduced to nit picking to find little things here & there to trumpet on about.

Well one of our most important games of the season is nearly upon us, even though the season hasn't even begun yet!!!
Huge game 2moro and hopefully Kristy and Stokesy are fit. Kristy especially as he has been quite decent pre-season. We need Stokesy and Hooper firing and hopefully the enigma that is Sammi decides 2moro is a night where he turns it on........Have a nervous feeling about this one, hopefully that'll be quelled after the first few minutes if we get a couple of goals!!!!

It is a huge game tribe, as much for the financial implications as well as the sporting ones. There is no doubt that there is a new dynamic in Scottish Football as a result of the R*ngers shenannigans. Green is shamelessly boasting that THE R*ngers will be in the strongest financial position of all Clubs in Scotland by season end. Obviously a lot of this is ballyhoo to boost season ticket sales and to encourage fans to support a share issue. However it does highlight a new race in Scotland for Clubs to be in the strongest financial position possible. If we do not have Champions League money coming down the line there will be no new recruits and Victor will join Ki to bring in a total of 14/15 million to clear our debt.

Tribe i've a feeling we could struggle in the Champions League qualifier, if only because our opposition are now well into their season. Hope i'm wrong.
Rumours floating about that a new 13 million a year tv deal has been agreed between Sky and the SPL. If so this would be positive news. I really hope the whole R*ngers debacle will actually lead to something positive for Scottish football. Their demotion is the first step to restoring integrity to the game. The stripping of tainted titles would be another positive step.
My main hope is that the SFA, SPL, SFL etc all merge into one credible body and start putting football first instead of petty self interest. There are many improvements which could help Scottish football become more competitive again. If this happen then Celtic will surely benefit in the longer term.

Yes Goodfella. That tv deal would be a boost. We all know well, even if the now defunct Bears were still in the spl that it's a truggle to sign quality players without the lure of the Champions League. It really doesn't bear thinking about what could happen to the squad if we don't make it through. Ki and Wanyama would not be the only ones on their bike.
That actually is a valid question. If lads play 2moro are they cup-tied for the rest of european competition this season???

Green is a bit of an imbecile and seems to be trying anything to get the oldco fans on his side. He has said that they will have £30m in their bank account by the end of July so will be interesting to get a gander at their balance sheet to see if he has delivered - especially as their season ticket sales seems to be in the hundreds so far. Also, he has asked for someone to have a look at all the Scottish clubs balance sheets come the end of the incoming season to see who has the least debt. How fecking cheeky is that! You take over a new club which is born out of the ashes of a club who cheated Joe public out of millions then start boasting about the fact that your club is debt free.
Also, his rant about the bigotry that was behind the decision of the SPL clubs not to allow newco in to their league. Is this guy for real? In the past 80 years there has been known bigotry and sectarianism which the clubs themselves didn't really go public with but then this clown comes in and starts spouting merde that they are the victims - has Green been on some other planet most of his life?
There is one word which describe his attitude and to a greater extent that of the old Rangers and seemingly the newco - inferiorization.
