Just watched Cuala beat slaughtneil really impressed with Con looks to me as if he has bulked up as he has already committed himself to the Dublin footballers I can't wait to see him get a good run and plenty of game time.

Yeah it's ironic he only got 10 minutes in the entire dublin club championship for cuala yet has been the player of the club hurling championship since then.

Be intersting to see if he togs out for the U21s, he still qualifies, I think he will to be honest.

The lad needs a bit of break though, he must be going at it hard in both codes training etc since this time last year.

Think it was jumbo that was first off the block last year re the animal that is Con last player to carry this amount of pressure would be C Kilkenny, think Con will be a serious potent weapon come business end ,

I take exception to that as i long before jimbo pointed him out.
if you go back haha you will see
I was looking for him in 2015 as he had starred on both minor teams in 2014 football and hurling.
I was shocked not to see him on any dublin panel in 2015 and asked if anybody knew why on here. Thaught he would come straight into senior like Jack and Kilkenny did. Still don't know why he was not on any Dublin squad in 2015.

I was aware of him from a young age but didn't want to hype up a juvenile

Just off my own opinion, I waited until I thought he was ready to make an impact for the seniors and then start to throw out that name

Sure many knew about him, he stood out a mile.

I've no doubt he could have had more game time last year and if not involved with his club he would be starting league games

If I'm honest, I've changed my tune a bit

I'd actually like to see him stick with the hurlers, but of course that decision is how own and like the rest of yiz would back his regardless

Just to give my two cents worth, We've lost too many to football and it's halted our progress, I love both codes, played both, I know I bang on more about football but genuinely would like to see Con stick with hurling in 2017, and give that a proper go for a couple of years. Continue to develop that skill set...

He has the potential to do great things for the hurlers and we certainly need that sort of option up front at present

The footballers have an abundance of talent up front, something the hurlers don't have and he'd prove a hugely valuable addition

But again, just my two cents worth

He better be bleedin deadly at the big ball because he's a massive loss to hurling.

Let's hope he isn't another Conal Keaney (although to be fair he isn't at Keaney's level with the stick). More like a Lowdnes or Ó Conghaile I suppose.
