Super 8'S

(Oldest Posts First)

So it's Cork/Tyrone and Roscommon/Armagh in with ourselves and Donegal. A trip to Paric Ui Chaoimh or Healy Park awaits us....

Will be rooting for Cork more in hope then expectation, dying to go down and have a gander at PUC.

Yes a championship match in Healy Park, that would be a tasty affair, Cork should have something to say about that though.

I do think Tyrone will also win but an overnighter in Cork and a visit to the new stadium would be great. Dad was down there for our last championship game in 83 and has some great stories of the trip, he'd love the trip to reminisce.

Healy Park is a nightmare to get in and out of as well especially given the large travelling support you'll bring. I think Tyrone will be too good for Cork!

It's a win/win for me, either we get a road trip or we play in the Neller. I'm not worried about either. Think this will really galvanize the team, a bit of controversy just makes us better, like a Dermo last year.

Sadly I think the Donegal game will end up in Croker, if people actually read what was voted in Congress, it says each team is gaurenteed 1 game in Croke Park, 1 Game at home, 1 game away.* Home games are subject to cccc approval if they fail to meet health and safety.

It doesn't say anything about a neutral venue.

Nothing to do with Dublin this, between Donegal and the GAA. All that's left is to use as motivation for the team.

Ultimately I think a compromise between the GAA might be we play our home game in Nowlan Park or somewhere. Which would be great as well.

Already have the coach WhatsApp group going. ;)

I'd love it to be in Clones , a massive game on the road nothing better, but seen as it's a Saturday game in Croker I'm happy with that aswell so it's a win win for me aswell.

I am looking forward to these the niggling has already started and a ball had not been kicked.
It is like a pared down NFL in the sunshine, no freezing yer bits off in cold winds.
My mind won't be able to process it all. Icecream, suntan lotion (factor a million for the more' pigmently challenged' among us.)

Plus think the Super 8s has came at the right time for this Dublin team they looked as bored as the Dublin fans in the Leinster final

Can't wait now decent matches for a change!

Up the Dubs.
