Mark Shutte for the footballers

(Oldest Posts First)

I read in one of the papers this morning that he is expected to link up with the footballers for the championship. Good imposing forward @ 6'4 so could be a good addition for the summer?

Let me see who do you think is a better footballer Mark Vaughan or mark schutte?
Come on would you
Cuala stand out performers were con o Callaghan and Luke Keating in the Dublin championship and over the last year,
hard to see where this call up came from.

I'd imagine Schutte would be backup for O'Gara or even competition, good to have more than one imposing forward. Gives Gavin more options, gameplan wise

Schutte doesn't play full forward he's a wing forward in football.

He's a good footballer

Lets see if he can further prove himself and make an impact at training

Didn't he win an U21 title with the footballers? Could be wrong there....

No doubting his hurling skills that's for sure and no doubt a big loss once again to the hurlers

Hes a county standard athlete I'm sure he can play anywhere up front. Yeah Jim he won an all Ireland 21 with the footballers in 12 I can't remember him doh 5 years ago now hard to believe.

Exactly five years ago he hasn't done anything in football since.
five years is a long time to go back to find form to try justify it.
if he was showing top form with cuala and standing out you would have no problem here but it just don't make any sense, luke Keating has been cualas stand out performer along with o Callaghan.
Nicky deveraux was showing top form in 2014 and Kevin o brien in 2015 neither are getting recalls based on that form which is more relevant.

Well that's another story all I'm saying is I'm sure he can play anywhere up front , it makes more sense than you wanting Mark Vaughan back doh.

Another massive loss to the hurlers, for all the good work being done we are getting hammered losing good lads to the footballers.

In fairness he isn't lost to the footballers
he left the hurling because of differences like about 5 or 6 others have.
the football bit here I would imagine is looking towards next year as can't see how he could be involved anywhere near the first 15 or subs without playing ever a senior inter county match.
