Can anyone shed any light on why the Blues have started the league so poorly?

Still had Donahue, Bally, Brannigan and Downey on. All big players for them.suprising such a defeat at home but again it's only second game

Nally went off after 15 mins with a broken ankle. His younger brother was the best blues player on show however.

Ah the Blues will be OK. The Championship is the big one for the Newfoundwell Road men especially with them going for the three in a row. The Jocks and Gers are the early pace setters with Sam Mulroy scoring 1-07 against S.O.M while big Jim scored 1-03 against the Blues.

I would be guessing that the Blues are planning on peaking for October/November for 3 in a row and a good pop at a Leinster!

He sure does Benny. A great penalty taker as well. He has come a long way since doing water boy for the Wee County ten years ago. By the way he will be 29 tomorrow (11 April). Happy Birthday Big Jim.

Paddy retired from inter-county at 29. I hope Jim keeps going for a long time yet.

A good pop at Leinster. Are you for real Ted. You obviously didn't attend the last 2 years of 1st round Leinster games involving the Blues.

Yes of course I did. I didn't say they would have a good pop at Leinster. I just said that maybe they are eyeing that up this year. They clearly peaked very early last year and almost seemed to focus slightly more on the league. They won the championship last year without being at their best I thought. They also may have seen that Leinster seems to be a lot more open in recent years with the capital losing its stranglehold.

I don't believe it's any plan to peak at certain times, they were missing a few boys and other teams smelled blood, in recent years they have been very inconsistent in the league apart from last year.
I predict a new winner this year myself

Ah the great Paddy Keenan. He is our Wee All Star leader and captain. Here retired from inter county football the same day that Ian Paisley died.

Don't mention paddy & Jim in the same sentence because they're worlds apart.Jim hasn't kicked on atall from a few years ago and has been rather disappointing in my opinion even though he's been injured half the time

Anlubuchaill that's a bit harsh on big Jim who gives it all for club and county. He would def be in my starting 15 when he is fit.

Well you would start a player if he was not fit.

Jim has a Leinster medal and he played a very influential role in Geraldine's winning that title. Like Paddy he Always gives it for Louth
