Last night results:
Clans 2-15 Naps 0-07
Mochs 2-09 Feckins 1-09

The Clans and the Mochs both win their matches to finish runners up and qualify for the quarter-finals. The Feckins who I tipped to win Inter (What would I know ?) join the Naps in the relegation play-off semi-finals.

Today sees the last of the Inter group matches. There is a double header today in Dunleer. Up first at 2.00 pm is the clash of the Plunketts and the Kevs. Both sides lost to Mattock in their opening matches so todays match is a winner takes it all. A draw would be good enough for the Mell side to go through to the quarter-finals. The second match throws in at 3.30 pm and sees the Barrs take on D.Y.I. Both teams lost lost to the Connells in their first matches. Today's winners will finish runners up and a draw would be good enough for the Togher side to go through to the last eight.

Plunketts v Kevs.......................Plunketts
Barrs v D.Y.I..............................Barrs

Brides and mattock will progress comfortably.
Kevin's will give oconnels a fright but won't beat them.
Other game is the big quarter final as two teams with genuine ambitions of winning it clash. A lot can happen on these next 3 weeks and I'm tipping clans to progress here

Went along to watch Fechins and Mochtas. Mochtas weren't bad and had a comfortable win against a Fechins side who had absoulutley no direction at all, they played like a bunch of lads playing together for the first time.

There are four matches this weekend in the Inter Championship. The first quarter-final takes place tonight in Dunleer at 5.30 pm which sees the Connells taking on the Kevs. This is a noval paring as it sees last years Junior Champions taking on the team that were relegated from Senior. The Connells won their group with wins over the Barrs and D.Y.I. The Kevs finished runners up to their neighbours Mattock in their group. Tomorrow morning at 11.00 am at the Mitchels pitch sees the first of this year's relegation play-offs semi-finals with the Plunketts taking on D.Y.I. This should be a tasty Drogheda v Dundalk affair. It is the second year in a row that the Mell side has found themselves in the relegation play-off semi-finals. Both these sides have lost both of their matches in the group stages.

Tomorrow sees a double header of quarter-finals which will be held at the Grove. Up first at 2.00 pm is the clash of the Brides and the Barrs. The Brides have won the group with wins over Dundalk sides the Naps and the Clans. The Barrs finished runners up in their group and finished behind group winners the Connells. The second match throw's in at 3.30 pm and sees Hunterstown taking on the Clans. Hunterstown won their group with wins over the Feckins and the Mochs. The Clans finished runners up in their group and finished runners up to the Brides.

Connells v Kevs......................Connells
Plunketts v D.Y.I.....................Plunkett's
Brides v Barrs.........................Brides
Hunterstown v Clans.............Clans

oconnels dangerous opponents for anyone now.

mochtas will be well up for it with the unfortunate passing of a former player, hunts v clans will be close and togher with their forward line will keep brides honest.

il go for brides, collon, clans all in close games

Barrs pulled off a so called shock today. Taught they deserved their victory. 5 down at HT but really strong 2nd half.
Clans powerful looking team but anyone of teams left will now fancy their chances.

Ye wide open.I thought Brides would go through. O'Connell's won this competition a few years ago so they know what it takes.hard to pick one to be honest

Yeah they showed great fight in the second half! I thought the ref gave the nothing either and then the umpire gave the brides a point which everyone had seen go wide! Strange decisions!

The clans and collon playing division 1 football should be too strong for the other too but in championship anything can happen!!

It would be a small shock if it wasn't a clans collon final. I hope it's oconnels barrs. These two can't meet in the semi as they were in same group. 2 div1 v 2 div 2 teams.
This is of course assuming collon beat mochtas so at the minute clans favourites on the basis they've only 2 games left.

I think they can meet. Open draw meant couldn't be drawn for the quarters but semis is free for all
