The goalkeeping question

Where did your man Sutton go? The fella who played soccer for Ipswich(I think) and left them because he wasn't enjoying it. I think he was a sub and played in a few league games.

Still plays for brigids and was playing a bit for crumlin I think it was in soccer before bohs came to him looking to join up with them he wanted stay with brigids as part of the agreement so as far as I know he playing in goal for both brigids and was in goal for bohs last night against shamrock rovers

How good was Cluxton last night , my god the man is an absolute legend. I'm telling you Cluxton's so good that when he makes a mistake it's highlighted way more than your average keeper cause . Dublin posters writing him off should hang their heads in shame.

Shane Supple was interviewed on RTE Radio on Sat afternoon. Yeah, he's still playing with Brigids and playing for Bohs in League of Ireland. Listening to him yesterday, he was scathing of the professional set-up in England. Said many players appear to have no club loyalty, and once team is going badly, are only going through the motions, waiting for a transfer elsewhere. He was comparing the difference with playing GAA with lads you grew up with. That's why he came home.

In fairness to Liam

He asked a difficult question

Cluxton isn't going to be around forever unless he told Gavin he'll be playing until he's 40+

Who knows.. It's possible in goals

But anyway, that performance will do Cluxton good, he needed it.

See this is what I'm talking about with Cluxton , he pulls off the save of the season and not one word about it, but kicking against the breeze on a tight county pitch and next thing you hear "ah they suss out Cluxton's kick outs" , in that weather with Kerry players pushing up on his kicks one or two balls will go astray or over the side line it's only natural he can't be a freak on every single kick out all the time. He's judge on a way higher standard to every other keeper.

A Strong hand to get that over the bar alright, it was a brilliant read by cluxton, great body shape, and athleticism

Honestly don't think very GAA keepers at this level would have kept that one out

Maybe 1 or 2 others capable

What I liked was he stood tall and made Geaney have to beat him. How often does a keeper fall backwards when facing a shot on goal and the ball sails over his head? Cluxton nearly made that save look routine. I guess the best make the difficult look simple.

Exactly chief, spot on.

Great body shape, it was just a top class piece of shot stopping and a vital bloody save

Supple is a fantastic keeper would honestly have him as top 3-5 in the country . In my opinion he is a better shot stopper than Cluxton and is a very good leader.

But Cluxton is a far more intelligent keeper he sees things others don't. His kickouts are far better than Supples and that alone is worth its weight in gold.
