Some shock hurling results

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Some shocking hurling results ,wouldn't worry about it this time of year what I would worry about is ...I went down to Corrigan park to watch the all Ireland champions and it was a good competitive match ,the johnnies had a very young team out and coped admirably..Had a look at the redevelopment of the dressing rooms and pitch and it looked first class..the hospitality shown was also great ...but talking to a few johnnies men I never realised what a crisis has developed in underage hurling in the city were basically only two teams exist ,there is no under 14 or under 16 leagues in south Antrim and they have some of the best players of these age groups in the county,.These are some of the juveniles that the county are suppose to be developing which to me seems to be a complete failure by the county board to even provide an active league structure in the county. Did we not provide full time jobs in this county to coach and developed games in this county ,looks to me that it was better run and better developed before these paid posts became available ,what is the future of hurling in Antrim.

your dead right there realist the ref was poor, everytime watson went near the ball there four Dunloy men hanging around him like rugby players, its high time the refs in antrim protect our counties exceptional players, and stop them being dragged down to the mediocre level of their opposition...

fail turfcuter.

a bad fail at that.

i would rather they stamped out diving in the game as people go down too easy to earn frees.

Sarsfields results not surprising anyone? Glenariffe could bring them back down to earth?

Are Rossa heading for Div3 in senior hurling ? See thier old clubhouse has been totally knocked down maybe thats a sign of things to come.

Hear they have also just sacked thier Senor Hurling Manger and cant get a replacement yet. Never a good sign.

Sarsfields only team in Div2 with 100% so far! Beat Rossa last night!

i doubt rossa will drop to div 3, they play gort at home nxt and a win there will prob kick start their season, dissappointing start to season and not good getting beat by their neighbours sarsfields last night, aint that surprised the paddies have had a good start, they got to under 21 final last year (beat by loughgiel by 2 pts) so they have a few good young players. Div 2 is very tight, difficult to predict who will finish top or bottom

last time i watched sarsfields they were bad , whats happening with rossa? thought theyd be of a good standard.... maybe i should pay more attention to antrim league , find that very surprising to see the sarsfields lads doing in rossa....

Has Rossa House been knocked down already? I didn't think that was gonna happen for a few years!

rossa house gone already . the rossa hurlers not looking to hot at minute but have had a lot of injuries should be fine when they return . Div 2 is a very tight league . heard they sacked their manager, not that surprised by sarsfields start but still think they will struggle when the other teams get going

Rossa are in a bit of trouble alright. Have seen them play a few times this year and they have been poor . I would not be surprised to see them relegated.

Dont understand why people are surprised at sarsfields good start. very good under 21 team last year that narrowly lost the championship final to loughiel aswell as a few county minors and under 21s and 2 lads on the county senior panel. also 2 lads just won an all ireland with st marys. theyre a young confident team and will be hard to beat, however theyre main aim is to stay in division 2 and have a crack at the intermediate championship but id say they wont be a kick in the **** off promotion

have to agree with wondering its the cleanest the place has been might even get a decent pint in it now lol. as for other post i dont agree that rossa will get relegated to many good players and if the hurlers are anything like the footballers a few years back they will just refuse to go down .they need to get a manager in soon though- as far as i know he wasnt sacked he walked away if he was able to do that probably best that it happened so early in the season . sarsfields bubble will burst in the next game away to glenariffe . st galls look the best bet to win the league followed by glenaiffe. was surprised that gorts won against tirnaog i heard they were struggling for a team against sarsfields
