Dismal indeed, no heart, passion, plan either worst in 20 years.

All the changes dident work only James McInerney & maybe Jonathan Clancy played well John Conlon stopped John Lee when he came on.

Under 21s shouls be a good team though the 2 Donovans Darch Honan Nicky O Connell John Conlon from Clonlare the 3 Crusheen lads Cillian Duggan Colin Ryan could well win a provintail at least.

Cant see the point in castigating Mike Mac there are 3/4 players on that Clare team that on paper tick the boxes but dont deliver we are lacking in real pace see Lar Corbett yesterday

Yeah, Clare were awful on Saturday.
Philip Brennan overall had a good game, could not be faulted for any of the goals and made some very god saves. He sent far too many puckouts straight down onm top of John Lee, but to be fare all of our half-forwards were very poor.
Thought all the full-back line did well with McInerney being Clare's best player.
Markham played well and was one of the few players who really battled.
Buglar had a terrible game and why he was left at centre-back for 70 mins is amazing.
We always struggled in midfield altough Clancy had some good moments.
Half-forward line was a disaster. Carmody & Griffin never looked like making any sort of an impact, while McMahon looked slow and off the pace.
Gilligan had some good moments, but this could well be his last year on senior panel. Like Mark Flaherty last year, colin Ryan failed to give a good performance after a great debut. I still think he'll make a good inter-county hurler for future.
Of the subs, only Barry Nugent made a decent impression.

I'm not that confident of us beating Wexford next week, and would not relish a dogfight with Antrim/Offaly for relegation

Flaherty made one or 2 appearences as a sub in the league, but I don't think he is cut out for inter-county.

a shockingly bad performance, i thought clare were in with a chance, how wrong was I! I wouldn't blame c.Ryan so much but carmody and griffin, players who should be at there prime about now were no where to be seen, why were they so bad, why were none of the forwards able to win a ball?

Has Mike Mac finished off clare hurling like he did in offaly?

I really hope these u21's at least beat limerick as we really need some sort of lift and hope for the future.

It seems the relegation play-off has been put on hold, probably a good idea as the last thing any one wants is to play next week.

I taught Flahtery was a good Hurler!!!! i know his all round game wasnt the greatest but he was a very handy free taker and surely a young fella like him would improve with the experience. He should not just be cast aside. As a Clare man living up this end of the country i am gutted at the way we seem to have gone back from last year. We are not as bad as our League position and our played two lost two championship form suggests.

But it must be said, the so called big players, your Tony Griffin, Tony Carmody, McMahon were awful, these are the lads that must stand up and be counted. The young lads will follow. We have good hurlers in Clare and we can develop and build. The age of the pannel is relatively young. We need the lads to start standing up and being counted in the Clare jesrsy. We dont expect the skill of Jamsie, Seanie McMahon, Brian and Frank Lohan etc, but by god we demand the commitment and the never say die attitude of those men who wore the jersey before them.

Stupid sneery comment, wont make you many friends.

U21s had a good win need to be a lot tighter at the back particularly in the full line but 4.22 some score Drach Honan looks a tremendous prospect

Wexford, make us feel better about ourselfs, cause ye are a joke....sure Clare lose to Tipp and Galway in the Championship two of the top 3 Hurling sides in the country along with Kk in my opinion, and poor wexford...well...do we need to say anything really??? facts speak for themselfs.

Just to follow up my last post Mr Gusseraneman!!!! You are quite rightwhen youn point out that Clare failed to win a game in National League Divison 1, THIS YEAR......but to be fair have played alot better in previous seasons in that Division and appeared in several League Finals and Semi Finals over the years. They also lost two Championship outings this year, by just two points to Munster Champions Tipp and then Clare just never showed up in a disapointing performance against a good Galway team. Both teams in my humble opinion are the only two teams that can give KK a real contest this year. Now i am not having a pop at Wexford at all, just responding to a silly Wexford supporter who clearly doesnt follow his team that closely. Wexford are a Division 2 Leaue team and thats why they of course managed to win a few old league matches this year. Fair enough, now just becasue you manage to win a few league matches in Division 2 doesnt mean you are better than a Clare team that didnt perfom well in Divison 1.....think about it.

As for the Championship Wexford have been poor now for years......thats the truth now.....while there is no argueing Wexford have some good players. Again Wexford were knocked out this year losing to both Dublin and Limerick and while they are two good teams, they are not as good as both Tipp and Galway.
