I think Wolfe Tones will win the hurling Championship this year I cant see any team beating them. The only other taem that have any chance is Newmarket.

Jimmy, Wolfe Tones are already out of the championship.
Inagh-Kilnamona topped that group with Newmarket coming 2nd.

Personally I think the championship is very open.
Crusheen will make a big push again and have probably been the most impressive to date.
Kilmaley, Newmarket, Inagh-Kilnamona and the winners of play-off between Clarecastle & Clooney-Quin will be there or there abouts.

Clonlara could take Kilmayley without Mr C Lynch - with some momentum who knows. Crusheen gave them a taste of the top table with their only defeat but clonlara were missing a couple of lads. Inagh not this year - I fancy Crusheen with Clonlara as the real dark bet - weather conditions will be a vital factor however

My predictions on the Senior Championship

Newmarket V Clatloe I feel Newmarket will be strong challengers now Newmarket Win
Kilmaley V Clonlara I would have fancied Kilmaley but Colin Lynch Loss will be huge could be an upset with CLONLARA getting i more round

Crusheen V Either Clooney Or Clarecastle I feel that Crusheen will get to Final

Josephs will beat Inagh/Kil

I think that Doora Barefield will beat Newmarket. They are hurling well again and its nice to see them back on centre stage. I think that Crusheen will beat Clarecastle, then beat Clonlara.

Crusheen beat Clon fairly handy last time out but Clon have the two lads back and will have come on a lot since the Kilmaley game. Clon young and hungry and on a roll, winning is a habit and seem to like Cusack Park. Would not write them off and think they could do it this year

Anyone know when the next round of the club championship will be played? Will they play a round before the all-ireland u21 semi-final? Are we going to run the risk of players getting injuries before the stage of a competition we have never reached in our history? If they do decide to play a round of games, surely this weekend is the only option as the all-ireland semi-final is on 22nd August.

The business end of the championship has finally arrived. Quarter finals down for decision this Saturday and Sunday in the Park.
Broadford vs Cratloe, Newmarket vs St.Josephs, Inagh/Kilnamona vs Kilmaley, Clonlara vs Clooney/Quin.
I reckon Cratloe, NOF, Kilmaley and Clonlara will progress.
Any predictions?

Cratloe, Senior County Champions???????????? Who'd a thunk it? Devastated not to have been in Cusack Park yesterday afternoon and Setright's yesterday evening. Definitely missed history in the making. They returned from Australia, Mexico and the middle east and I couldn't get back from mainland Europe. Looks like its self-flagellation for me for all eternity. Still, got suitably merry and had a great night explaining what it all meant to a good natured bunch in Dan Murphy's on the Leidseplein. Ar aghaidh linn.
