Reidy remains coy on form

Clare forward David Reidy has stressed that they are not getting carried away with their early season form.

The Banner are unbeaten in the HL1B campaign so far and have looked impressive in their three games to date with Carlow, Wexford and Laois all being put to the sword.

They face Kilkenny this weekend and then Dublin in the last round and they are more or less through to the knockout stages as it is.

Reidy told the Clare Champion that they feel they are gaining momentum, but he added that it was too early in the year to be getting excited.

“We won’t go over the top about what we have done so far but it does bring momentum,” stated Reidy. “Once you are winning games, no matter what the performances might be like, it creates a good vibe in the camp and creates momentum, so hopefully that will continue over the next few months.

“It is great to see that if lads are performing in training, they are getting their chance and having a real impact.”
