Inter-county referee Rory Hickey will jet off to Thailand later this month to officiate at the Asian Games.

The Clare match official has been chosen to referee the Asian Games which will be held over the weekend of November 16th and 17th.

This is not the first time that Hickey has been chosen to officiate at the games as he was picked for the tournament back in 2013 as well.

“I was lucky enough to be sent in 2013 to the games and met many Clare people and had a great time. It’s a chance to meet up with them again and see that part of the world,” Hickey told the Clare Champion.

“I was out for most of last year with an injury and this is a great start to the GAA year coming up.”
