Sponger id prefer if both teams lost on sunday.
But barring that, Carlow have a better chance against Wicklow.

Looking forward to this game on Sunday, reckon Meath prob still have too much for Wicklow. Fancy them to win by 4 or 5 pts. Would love to see Wicklow pull it off. Prefer to be playing Wicklow on June 10th than Meath. Meath will have bad memories of last time in DCP, when Wexford came back from dead to beat them.
Should be a big crowd at this one, as most Carlow people who are gaa fans are heading along too.

Don't stress yourself wiiVillage, sure if we won that wouldn't make sense to you either, just go with the flow and enjoy the good weather.

I'll do better than that wiiVillage I'll tell you now, unfortunately we're not going to win this one and I'll tell you why, we left a few games behind us in the league including the one against Wicklow, so If we couldn't win those how can anyone expect us to beat Meath, I believe that John Evans has breathed a new lease of life in the Meath set up, they started to day with five new comers, one a raw recruit, Wicklow had gone five points up before Meath had left the traps, yet Wicklow only led 0-08 to 0-07 at H/T, it wasn't that Wicklow let them into the game, more to do with Meath fighting their way into it, Wicklow seemed to come under pressure and lost their composure a bit here and there as a result they lost James Stafford through two yellow cards, where as Meath held theirs and finished with fifteen, Wicklow seemed to have their foot to the floor where as Meath seemed to finish the game ticking over and are only beginning to peak, Wicklow only scored 0-03 in the second half where as Meath scored 0-09.Meath are going to win the game against us, and if we can keep it to single figures I'll be happy with that, that's just the way I see it.

Looking forward to game in 2 weeks. Our optimism has been raised slightly which is more to do with winning without 5 first team starters than just winning. Meath will not underestimate carlow. We have done that before and have learned a harsh lesson. Meath will turn up with the exact same focus as they would against dublin or kildare. We will take nothing for granted. Hoping for a good game. And that yous really put it up to us.

Only saw the Sunday game but I don't think Carlow should be overly worried about the fact that it is Meath rather than Wicklow.
From what I could see Glynn's injury messed Wicklow up and then the red for Stafford finished them.
I guess Carlow's win over Louth last year had a similar pattern to what transpired yesterday until the Glynn incident. Underdogs started best, then the favourites came back. Now, imagine, what would have happened last year if Brendan Murphy had suffered the same fate as Glynn?
If Carlow can keep 15 on the field and their key men play to their best form there is no reason why they can't challenge Meath. Meath are no better than Louth.

^^^ Barrowsider. Heard Carlow ran Cork close for most of the game but lost by a few pts in the end. Not sure of score etc.
Good to see we are playing good sides in challenges, thats games against Dublin and now Cork. Ok we might have lost both but better off playing teams like that than the usual Kildare juniors and Waterford.

tafka, i doubt the sunday game would give you an accurate account of the game, wicklow started well but after 25 minutes meath were gaining the upperhand all over the field, they are a big strong team and unless we find the goal scoring touch we will not get within ten points of them. yesterdays game was won and lost in midfield and our weakest area of the field is midfield
