1166242 Beaten 2-15 to 0-13. Decent performance I hear, Dubs had Bernard Brogan back in action. Five weeks now to the Meath game hopefully plenty more good challenges like that will be lined up.
Im assuming that was a typo. You obviously must have meant Wicklow.

supersub, goals will only follow if you are moving the ball at pace

Barrowsider, I understand what your saying and your point is well taken,But, the pace the ball is move at in Div.4 football is a much, much slower pace than it is move at in Div.1 say. The way I see it is, goals in Div.4 (Against) come more often than not from either defensive errors, misguided passes, lack of pace or fitness, and being found out for what ever reason. Goals (For) they rarely happen, because there is no game plan, the fitness levels are not high enough, so carrying the ball with pace is not an option, and kicking the ball to give it pace is less of an option because its now down to a lucky break, however I do believe we are much better than third from the bottom, I think we dug much deeper against Dublin the other night than we did in any game in the league, 0-13 points against the All Ireland champions is not a bad return goal or no goal, come to think of it, we only scored 0-10 against Wicklow, anyway Barrowsider, I do take your point.

Supersub, i love the positive spin you are trying to put on it. 13 points vs all ireland champions. It wasn't though. Dublin started 4 of their AI final side, so it was against a 2nd string Dublin side. And the couple of regulars they did play destroyed us, Brogan got 1-6 I think.
Any other challenges lined up btw?

i think the players we have are capable of playing and surviving in div3, however we are 3rd from bottom of 4 which in essence make us the worst team in the country, it just hasn't worked out, i don't think fitness is as big an issue as some make it out to be, it's just the way the team is set up and how we move the ball, i don't think we played a game this year where we won more kickouts than the opposition, limerick beat us two to one on them, so breaks have been a huge issue. to many issues have been let go unaddressed

We may be third from the bottom of Div.4 but I think in many ways we helped ourselves to get there, if we can hold on to the same panel of players for next years league we will then have a new football management team in situ and the same lads will then have the chance to prove the old system was not the right one, in the mean time, and admitting that my crystal ball is no clearer than anyone else, I'm going to make a prediction in saying, should Wicklow beat Meath in the SFC, which I think they will, I'll go further then and say Carlow will then beat Wicklow, now you (all) may not agree with that, but that's the way I see it.

your assuming dempsey will be gone next year, from what i have heard that is not a certainty far from it. it would be a huge shock if wicklow beat meath, but if they did then i agree we would have a fair chance of beating wicklow, if as i believe it will be meath we will be playing then it could be a bad afternoon

Your either a WUM or you made a mistake (as can happen) and mixed us up with Cork, we wont make the final 'till next year.

what do you mean playing our chances down? wicklow beat wexford tonight in a challenge, i know you want to play against one of the biggest franchises in football but the chances of you witnessing the amazing meath bandwagon roll into tullamore is unlikely.

to be honest bettystown, so much would have to go right on the day for wicklow and everything would have to go wrong for meath, that is no disrespect to wicklow, they are an improving team, but i think meath are a few steps ahead of them, also challenge games are hardly a form guide, sure didn't ye hammer westmeath a couple of weeks ago? ye will beat wicklow then us and give kildare all they want of it in the semi
