Galway’s 2015 All-Ireland SHC semi-final match winner Shane Moloney has been axed from the squad.
Moloney was introduced as a substitute in the All-Ireland semi-final against Tipperary four years ago and popped over the match winning point which saw the Tribesmen through to the All-Ireland final where they lost out to Kilkenny.
The Tynagh/Abbey-Duniry clubman has been in the squad for the past number of seasons, but has always struggled to nail now a regular place.
Galway manager Micheal Donoghue has also cut Padraig Breheny and Greg Lally from the squad, both of whom have featured on occasion for the county over the past few years.
Galway round off their HL1B campaign with a top of the table clash against Waterford with both sides progressing to the NHL quarterfinals.
