Is Collie Donnelly and the squad he is bringing with him a better option for us going forward? - MY VIEW IS YES HE MUST BE - TIME FOR CHANGE

Who is the squad you refer to? God help the men / women coming in to sort the state of Antrim GAA out. We have good
volunteers getting involved within there clubs but there is an apathy towards Antrim GAA and who can blame us.

Anyone who isn't tainted by sitting for years on previous boards or committees has to be a good thing.

Alec McQuillan from Glenravel and Terry Reilly from Gort are two names being mentioned with Colly Donnelly - another few good men, Young enough men too so hopefully bringing a fresh approach and outlook to the whole debacle.

It's good to see competition / interest though. Too much apathy for a long time now!

Relative youth and fresh thinking are necessary. I don't think anyone would argue with some of the names mentioned, be good to have someone from a glens hurling perspective though.

Are antrim in a better place than they were 5/10 years ago?

very hard to make the case they are.

Change is wanted, and needed.

Looks like both the Irish News and Antrim post are going to report positively on the need for change within the county board. Good riddance to wee Joe.

Will tomorrow finally be the day when our current county officers get told by the use of democracy what an absolute shambles they have made of our county in the past number of years. Their time is up vote them out.

Change at last!! Finally representatives from different parts of the county who actually have a vision for Antrim. Lets hope the unity shown by these representatives can filter down to parts of the county who continue to hold grudges over petty disputes and they can get behind a greater cause. The only way is up from here. Good luck to all involved.

Thankfully the majority of our county believed that it was indeed time for change.

Best of luck to the new delegates on the County Board in Antrim. Hopefully the betterment of Antrim Hurling and Football will be the outcome of this milestone election. I'm only familiar with the hurling side up there, but with such a strong club hurling championship and new management aswell, Antrim Hurling will hopefully turn a corner this year and return to the AI and Division 1 of the league.
