I always thought Jimmy Nelson was a St Paul's man. I know they have an area dedicated to him in their social area. My dad said he played against him at Shaws Road in the early 80's

As far as i know he was always St Pauls, mind you he spent a bit of time in the early 70's on the outskirts of Lisburn apparently honing his skills!

Asked on St Johns web site and Jim apparently first played for Clonard but left and joined St Johns in 1955 to play hurling ,

RIP Jim Nelson, I will never forget the Antrim team of 1989 as long as I live. They were a great team, full of characters and led by a gent in Jim Nelson.
