Feis Cup games

(Oldest Posts First)

I had the pleasure of seeing some cracking games over the Weekend but I have to say Cushendall missed their county men more than Dunloy in the senior final.

Dunloy have Paul Shields, Kevin Molloy, Kevin McKeague & Paddy Doherty on the County team we also had both our first and second choice goalkeepers unavailable and Gareth McAllister out injured.

Cushendall where missing plenty also, Dunloy just have better replacements

I don't think you can't read too much into the Feis Cup result, Dunloy replaced their county men better than Cushendall did. However I think Cushendall's county men are a lot better than Dunloy's county men, Neil Mc Manus and Aaron Graffin are the 2 best in Ulster at the moment, add to that Karl Mc Keegan, Shane Mc Naughton, Conor Carson, Declan Mc Killop, Michael Mc Cambridge and Aidan Delargy who were all missing from the Feis you can see why Cushendall didn't perform well, they were missing over half the team. I still fancy Cushendall to win the championship this year. It'll be a true reflection of Cushendall and Dunloy on Wednesday week when they meet in the league.

i wouldn't say next Wednesday nights game will be a true reflection. It should be closer than last sundays. i dont think the outcome on the next league game will have any bearing which teams win the championship game (if they get there). It will be who wants it more on that day which will count.
