Keepers v Carlow

Chris Kerr left the panel due to the fact that sean o neill didnt train until the soccer season was over. This is coming from players from a club in toome bridge. I dont blame him in the slightest if he was committed.

I would assume thats from A Cargin player! Anyway if thats so then thats very unfair on the Galls lad dont really blame him myself, seems there has been a lack of tact from management here on this one, not good for player/management relations. Could he be tempted back if O Neill not involved?

It is 100% true, this is coming from a well placed source on the panel. i think the way things are going either myself or you could play goals at the weekend.

Yeah Rebel at this point it could be anyone so why not us!! Just a pity of such uncertainty surrounding the no 1 spot now as for a long time we were pretty strong in this area. Just hope the Galls fella can make it back if we get through if the other lad is unavailable, although im hearing he will be playing so looks that something has been sorted out after all.

Well Antrim, we here in Carlow have our own troubles, (no pun intended). We have a mediocre squad making themselves available with players still dropping off. Anyway good luck to both teams and may the best team win.

Well if thats so then fair play to the lad for coming back, but what a merry go round this goalkeeping position has been. Must say i feel it a bit sad that after every thing thats happened we have to turn to an ex armagh keeper for back up. What sort of message is that sending to our own goalkeepers aspiring to play for their county? Surely what we have as back up cant be that bad?

benny marron from moneyglass should be given a look his kickouts are unbelievably accurate, which would be a big asset to the team as they have a smallish midfeild compared to other intercounty teams, also his shot stopping is excellent

If sean o neill was committed, and by the looks of things he wasnt committed until the football season was over, and kerr from st galls were combined doing more than a fine job. i dont think baker should have dropped both finucane and mcgreevey. maybe one, but if o neill wasnt fully committed, he shouldnt have dropped both of them. Kerr was back at training this week apparently, it is a confusing situation.
