'I'm staying put' - Red
September 21, 2005
Crocked Wexford duel star Redmond Barry had rubbished talk in his native county that he was about to walk away from Gaelic games.
Barry suffered a broken jaw in an off-the-ball incident while playing for his club St. Anne's in a SFC clash with Sarsfields and was understandably very annoyed about the incident.
The Sarsfields' trauma was the second time that Barry has broken his jaw.
However talk of him quitting the GAA is well wide of the mark, he insists.
"Of course I'm pissed off but it won't stop me playing.
"It's just uncomfortable, the pain killers don't ease it much but I have to go back to hospital today and the recovery process starts from there."
