Banville not fazed by Hill

June 24, 2005
The matter of facing into Hill 16 and the intimidatory nature of the Dublin fans did not seem to worry teenager P J Banville one bit as he reflected on his baptism of fire last Sunday. "We were not afraid of playing into the Hill one bit. We just went out and blanked-out the Dublin supporters" Echoing similar sentiments to that expressed by Pat Roe, Banville said, "We should have pushed on to win the game, especially having created some glorious chances. At the very least we shouldn't have allowed them to get back into the game. Banville admitted that he was gutted having missed the opportunity to score a goal in the first half when his effort in the 30th minute went over the bar instead of into the net. The former Eircom League player with Waterford United was happy with his own performance and 'delighted to have delivered on such a big day.'
