Limerick minor manager Pat Donnelly believes that the chance to play in Croke Park should be enough motivation for his charges ahead of their All-Ireland MHC quarterfinal against Wexford.

Following their heavy defeat to Tipperary in the Munster MHC final, Donnelly has had the task of lifting his players ahead of the clash at Thurles this Sunday.

However, he told the Limerick Leader that the lure of playing in Croke Park in the semi-final should be enough to get them motivated.

"The talent is there and there is the carrot of the chance to play at Croke Park. It's a huge carrot for any 17 or 18 year old to have going into a match," said Donnelly.

Limerick will face a Wexford side that were defeated in the Leinster MHC final by Dublin. Throw in at 12pm on Sunday.
