The nationwide 'Kit for Clubs' initiative has further strengthened Opel's strong ties with the GAA. Celebrating 30 years as main Opel dealer for Westmeath in 2008, Sleator Auto is playing its part in the continued vibrancy of our indigenous sporting organisation. Already renowned as sponsor of the GPA, Opel Ireland extended its close relationship with the GAA by announcing the 'Kit for Clubs' initiative in December 2007. This novel nationwide partnership will see the market-leading motor manufacturer support grassroots GAA all over the country by providing local clubs with new training gear. Under the terms of the scheme, points are awarded to clubs each time a car from Opel's exciting range is either test-driven or purchased. The club can then redeem these points against the extensive 'Kit for Clubs' catalogue range. A wide array of training equipment is available under the initiative, including footballs, sliothars, mesh training bibs, rain jackets, gear bags, tackle bags, team agility packs and portable goalposts. A test drive is worth ten points to the club concerned, while each Opel car purchased in accordance with the conditions of the scheme will net the club a whopping 200 points.
