Greville recalled for Ring Cup final

July 03, 2010
Dual star Paul Greville will be back in action at Croke Park this afternoon after he was named in the Westmeath team to play Kerry in the Christy Ring Cup final.

The Raharney clubman, who was the Lake County's best performer in last Sunday's Leinster SFC semi-final loss to Louth at GAA headquarters, is selected at right corner forward - ironically the same position as he occupied last Sunday - after missing the semi-final win over Kildare due to his football commitments.

Greville's inclusion at the expense of Andrew Dermody is one of two changes from the side that defeated the Lilywhites by 10 points. The other alteration sees Adam Price replace Greg Gavin in the full back line. Two other dual players - Brownstown's Philip Gilsenan and Raharney's Conor Jordan - are included among the substitutes.

Westmeath (SF v Kerry): P Burke; A Price, J Shaw, O Price; R Whelan, A Mitchell (captain), D McCormack; J Clarke, L Smith; S Bardon, B Murtagh, E Loughlin; P Greville, B Lehart, D Carty.

Subs: P Dowdall, P Gilsenan, A Dermody, A Farrell, K Brazil, T Gillen, N Williams, N Flanagan, J Hardiman, D Golden, C Jordan, C Curley, A Dowdall.
