GAA to support Rugby World Cup bid

Delegates at today's Congress in Derry voted overwhelmingly (93-7) to support a Rugby World Cup bid.

Almost 93% of delegates agreed to allow GAA stadiums be used in the 2023 or 2027 Rugby World Cup finals should either bid by the Irish Rugby Football Union be successful.

The IRFU admitted that they lacked facilities of their own to host such an event and this decision goes a long way to adding weight to their plans.
