The Cavan football club of New York will have their annual general meeting this coming Sunday the 27th January at the Dugout Bar on 61st in Woodside. The election of officers for the coming year will take place on the heels of a successful 2012 season when the junior side reached both the League and Championship finals. With three teams, a Ladies, men's senior and junior sides. It will be a full year ahead for the club. The outgoing officers are the following Chairman Tom Cahill

The club had their annual super bowl tickets draw this past Sunday with the big winner Anthony Rehill who took first prize of Super Bowl tickets and package to New Orleans. Rehill was the Cavan manager the last time the club won the NY senior title in 1990 along with Phil Sheridan. Perhaps an omen for this year!! Second prize of $500 went to Aiden McCarron while Derek Lennon and Jim Shannon both won $100 consolation prizes.
