Joe Kernan's first game in charge of Galway resulted in a facile victory over New York in last night's FBD Connacht League final at Gaelic Park. Galway1-18 New York0-4 The former Armagh manager couldn't have asked for an easier start to his Galway reign, despite the fact that he was without a host of regulars. The visitors took control from the throw-in to establish a 0-11 to 0-1 lead at the interval. Eoin Concannon scored the only goal of the game in the second half to seal an emphatic win for the Tribesmen.
