NYGAA to honor 1984 New York Team

The New York GAA will honor the 1984 New York Football Team that travelled to Ireland 25 years ago, to take part in the Centennial Celebrations of the GAA. They played in a tournament staged for overseas units in Ballina. The Tournament included teams from Britain, Austral-Asia, and the USA. New York won the tournament and played and beat Mayo in the Gael-linn Final the following weekend. The following week they travelled to Tyrone to play the home team, where they lost by a point.
