Padraic Maher has described Joe Canning's winning point as 'unbelievable'.

The Tipperary captain was quick to acknowledge the brilliance of Canning's last-gasp winner from the Cusack Stand sideline after yesterday's gripping All-Ireland SHC semi-final.

"It was an unbelievable score from Joe to win the match. He was on the sideline. There were four, five Tipp jerseys diving ahead of him and he still got the shot off," he told Tipp FM.

Despite Tipp's defeat, Maher was proud of his side's performance.

"The lads gave it everything. I think we did the Tipp jersey proud. We're devastated. We had a load of goal chances and I know Galway had a couple as well. It was one of them games. Like the last two years, it could have gone either way," he noted.
