Ballymahon rest Dolan

Man of the moment Frankie Dolan was rested from club championship duty on Sunday because of a hamstring complaint. The Roscommon sharpshooter, who scored 0-13 in a breathtaking performance against Kildare last Saturday evening, was due to line out for his adopted club Ballymahon in their Longford championship second round replay against Fr Manning Gaels at Pearse Park. But despite being without their star forward, the reigning county champions emerged victorious by 2-16 to 1-15. Mark Connor, whose late point brought the tie to a replay, stole the show in Dolan's absence by notching 1-10.
