Shine blames poor preparation for early exit

In the aftermath of Roscommon's defeat to Galway in the minor championship, manager Donie Shine blamed poor preparation for their early fall. "I felt all along that we hadn't enough work done," he remarked. "I reckon we didn't have enough time with the team and I put that down to college exams. We were never able to polish it in the tactics department like we needed to do. We really only got the whole panel together on three occasions and that was a telling factor. "If I was in charge of the team again, I would expect to start preparing them at the end of this year."
