The Western Gaels clubman produced an outstanding display in the provincial final defeat of Sligo, admitting afterwards:
"During the past week I had no doubt that we were going to win it. Training was brilliant and everyone was psyched up to the last for it.
"Everyone else was putting us down but we used that to our own advantage.
"We could have thrown in the towel towards the end but the lads never gave up. We knew going into the game that Sligo were a good side and if we didn't all step up to the plate we wouldn't have our medal." Tweet
