Dineen taking nothing for granted

Roscommon selector Nigel Dineen is refusing to underestimate Sligo ahead of Saturday's Cadbury Connacht under 21 football final at Markievicz Park.
Both teams caused upsets against Mayo and Galway respectively in their semi-finals, but Dineen is taking nothing for granted and insists that Roscommon will be affording Sligo the same respect as they afforded holders Mayo.
"Any time you beat Mayo is great, but it was only a semi-final," the former county star told the Roscommon Herald.
"Any Sligo team that goes to Tuam and beats Galway in their own backyard must be a serious team. We're under no illusions about the task that faces us. We're going to have to improve 100 per cent from the Mayo game to beat them."
The Castlerea clubman admits that Roscommon football could do with a boost following the senior team's relegation to Division 4 of the NFL last weekend.
"Of course a provincial title would be good for the future, but it's a bonus to be talking about things like that. We know that there's a serious 60 minutes ahead of us on Saturday."
