Donie Shine insists DCU are worthy O'Byrne Cup winners.

The students beat Louth by a point in last weekend's subsidiary competition decider but the result was cast in controversy after referee Joe Curley accidentally blew up for full-time with the ball still in play.

This has caused perturbation in the Wee County and the Reds are reported to be considering an appeal. However, Roscommon star Shine says DCU deserved their win:
