An up-and-coming Meath footballer who suffered an horrific foot injury in a domestic accident was delighted to receive a visit from Andy McEntee yesterday.
Sixteen-year-old Joseph Moore from Seneschalstown lost two toes on his right foot while mowing the lawn at his home on Monday, just 24 hours after scoring four points after coming on as a sub for the Royals in a Gerry Reilly Cup game against Longford in Oldcastle.
He underwent emergency surgery and was allowed home yesterday when the Meath manager visited him and presented him with a signed jersey by the entire panel.
The Junior Cert student is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries. Looking forward to seeing you back in action soon, Joseph!
