The late Michael (Micky) Greville

February 23, 2017

The late Mick Greville

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Michael Greville.

Michael (Micky) was a star player for the Enfield GFC club, and was full forward on the first ever Meath Minor team to win an All-Ireland Championship in 1957. He scored 0-5 in a comfortable win over Armagh. Another Enfield GFC man, Jack Grey was centre half forward that day.

Michael moved and settled in Dublin but is fondly remembered around the Enfield parish, and indeed the greater Meath area for his exploits on the football pitch. His brother Ollie was a brilliant footballer with the Enfield GFC club also and has helped out on various committees and teams with Na Fianna CLG in recent years.

Michael's nephew Gene, played football and hurling for Enfield GFC, Baconstown GAA and more recently Na Fianna while he also won a Leinster U21 FC medal with Meath in 1996.

Na Fianna CLG offers its sincerest condolences to the Greville family on the death of Michael.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Funeral Details:
