Navan "will turn up" this time

O'Mahonys captain Gary O'Brien raises the Keegan Cup at Pairc Tailteann.

Manager Davy Nelson is adamant that Navan O'Mahonys will deliver against Killoe Emmet Og.

Having retained the Meath SFC with a 0-13 to 1-8 victory over Na Fianna yesterday, the Royal County representatives will face their Longford counterparts in Pearse Park in a Leinster club quarter-final on Sunday week.

"We played Killoe three years ago but we never turned up," Nelson comments in The Irish Daily Star. "This team has matured so much since then and I can guarantee you we will turn up against them this time.

"If we're good enough, we'll win and if we're not we won't, but we intend to make our mark. In fairness to Killoe, they're one hell of a team. They pushed Portlaoise three years ago to a one-score game.

"This game is going to be away from home for us so that brings its own challenges too but we'll park the county win in a few days, we'll well and truly park it, and we'll knuckle down and make our mark. We feel the team is good enough to do that."
