Trim 1-11Kilmainhamwood 0-12 Two saves from Brendan Murphy at crucial stages of the game provided the platform for a Trim victory in a tightly fought SFC game against Kilmainhamwood. The first stop came as Trim trailed by 0-6 to 0-1 in the first half after Kilmainhamwood started the brighter. During that time Ray Magee was a constant threat. The teams traded points and late in the first half Sean Murphy was upended in the Kilmainhamwood square and Paul Gilsenan expertly converted a crucial penalty for Trim. At half time, 'Wood led by 0-8 to 1-3. The second half started with Michael Lowther points but Kilmainhamwood still maintained the advantage with Magee frees. The second of Murphy's saves, another point blank stop proved a rallying call for Trim and scores from Lowther, Paul Gilsenan and Eoin McGrath brought Trim ahead. The last score from Maurice Power followed a great move after the defence held out under pressure from Kilmainhamwood to get an equaliser. The win was a welcome one as both teams had won one and lost one game going into the match.  Best for Trim were Brendan Murphy, Ronan Fitzsimons, Darren Fay, and Francie Murphy.
