Schools: St Ciaran's Castlejordan retain title

St Ciaran's Sean Coffey has Dangan's Adam McDonnell Elliott and Adam Byrne for comnpany during the Boys Division 4 decider at Pairc Tailteann.

St Ciaran's NS Castlejordan retained the Boys Division 4 (13 a side) Meath Cumann Na mBunscol title with a comprehensive win over Dangan NS at Pairc Tailteann. This was the last final out of six on Day 2 at Meath headquarters.

Dangan made all the running in the first half. They led 3-2 to 1-4 at the break with their goals coming from Eoghan Frayne (2) and their captain Jack Brennan. David Carroll, brother of county senior star Damien, who was the outstanding player on the pitch kept St Ciaran's in touch with 1-2. Adam O'Brien and Barry Thompson weighed in with points for the winners. Inspired by Carroll, O'Brien and the Coffey's Mark and Sean the Castlejordan outfit took complete control of the second half. Carroll landed six glorious points, O'Brien 1-2 and two more points from corner forward Caoimhe Martin ensured that the Division 4 title stayed in the Meath Offaly border school.
After the game St Ciaran's captain Dean Pluck was presented with the Division 4 Cup.
