Lennon making a huge impression

March 11, 2005
Rising young star Shane Lennon is already making a big mark on the 2005 intercounty season. Last weekend, the Kilkerley Emmets clubman was in top form with both the Louth under 21s and seniors. He was the best player on view in the Wee County's emphatic defeat of Carlow in the first round of the Leinster U21 championship at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday March 5, landing five wonderful points from centre forward and tormenting the home defence throughout. The following day, Shane was also Man of the Match as Val Andrews' senior side picked up its first point of the '05 national league campaign with a draw in Aughrim. Showing no sign of fatigue, the 19-year-old starred at full forward, chipping in with four points. Shane is definitely one to watch in 2005.
