Paul Barden did Longford proud last weekend when he starred in Leinster's Railway Cup football success. The talented Clonguish clubman, who was winning his second medal on the trot, lined out at centre forward in Leinster's victories over Connacht and Ulster. Leinster defeated Ulster by 1-14 to 2-9 in the final at Pearse Stadium in Galway on Sunday. For Barden, the success atoned for the disappointment he experienced when he was unable to play in the recent International Rules series against Australia due to illness. Tweet
