Kelly to think about career

January 17, 2007
County footballer and Shannon RFC star Stephen Kelly is considering his position as a member of Limerick's senior football panel after taking umbrage at comments allegedly made by Shannonside boss Mickey Ned O'Sullivan. Kelly was dropped by O'Sullivan for last weekend's McGrath Cup tie with Clare after missing a training session the previous Tuesday night. "There's been a lot of stuff written and there's no real point in me adding to it," the vaunted attacker said. "But I wasn't impressed by Mickey Ned's comments. I don't think that's the right way to deal with it and he should have come to me. "I'll have to think about things now but that's another day and hopefully everything can be resolved," Kelly added.
