Brothers Michael and Alan Foley will be in opposition to one another when Leitrim and New York get this year's Connacht SFC underway at Gaelic Park on Sunday. Michael is a key member of the Leitrim attack, while older brother Alan, who represented Leitrim at under 21 level in 2003 prior to emigrating to the US, usually figures in the half back line for the Exiles. Both players are former members of the Dunkeerin club, with ace freetaker Michael having recently transferred to Kilcock in Kildare. There are two other former Leitrim players currently involved with the New York set-up - Sean Munnelly and Johnny Goldrick. Munnelly played in the 2005 All-Ireland junior final, while Goldrick featured in the 2006 championship before moving to the Big Apple. Tweet
