The Cats are aiming to avenge their Walsh Cup defeat to the rapidly-improving Metropolitans and their legendary manager has seen fit to shake things up selection-wise.
Paddy Hogan and Conor Fogarty will man the two wing back positions in place of the injured Tommy Walsh and JJDelaney. Paul Murphy, who came on as a substitute against Waterford, gets the nod to partner Eoin Larkin at midfield.
Up front, Michael Fennelly has recovered from injury and assumes the centre forward position with James Stephens clubman Matthew Ruth making his competition debut at top of the right.
