Egan turns to small ball
June 08, 2007
Kerry junior footballer John Egan is relieved to be able to turn his attentions to the Christy Ring Cup following the Kingdom's exit from the Munster championship.
Kerry were defeated by Clare last weekend to end their reign as All-Ireland champions and for some of the players it will be a long year, but not for Egan who has linked up with county's hurlers.
"I'm lucky that I can pick myself up very quickly because I have the Christy Ring Cup to look forward too. I still love the game of hurling and I always dream that one day I will run out in Croke Park with Kerry," said Egan.
"We are going well in training and I am very hopeful. It would be great to get to a quarterfinal in the county championship with Ardfert and of course retain our division one status."
