Brick staying put
November 12, 2004
Kerry hurler Shane Brick has turned down an offer to line out with neighbours Limerick in 2005.
The 23-year-old admitted he was tempted by the offer but it would have entailed him leaving his home club, Kilmoyley, something he wasn't prepared to do.
"This was a nice opportunity for me and one that probably won't come round again. However, I believe that I have made the right decision.
"The club was the main reason. After playing with fellas all my life, it would have been too hard to stop doing that", he added.
Next year Kilmoyley will be bidding for a record breaking fifth Kerry SHC in a row which was obviously a further incentive for Brick to stay put.
