Only weeks after his brother Liam joined Dublin club St. Anne's, Mike Hassett had ended his involvement with Laune Rangers to begin a new club career with Wicklow side An Tochar. Mike, who along with Liam were pivotal members of Kerry's All-Ireland success last year, is a member of the teaching staff at St. David's in Greystones. His decision to join the Roundwood outfit has been welcomed by prominent club member and recently elected Wicklow county board chairman Donal McGillycuddy. "It's a great boost to us and I expect that his presence will provide plenty of motivation for the other players," he said.
