New-look midfield for Kingdom
March 20, 2010
Kerry's David Moran
David Moran and Anthony Maher will form a new midfield partnership for Kerry in tomorrow's NFL clash with Mayo at Austin Stack Park.
Manager Jack O'Connor has decided to rest Seamus Scanlon and Michael Quirke, and will instead take the opportunity to see how Moran and Maher work together. Moran's move to midfield allows for the return of last year's All-Ireland winning captain Darran O'Sullivan to the half forward line. Paul Galvin remains suspended, while Donncha Walsh is injured.
Regular corner back Marc O Se continues at right half back in the absence of his brother Tomas, who is expected to return to the squad ahead of their warm-weather training camp at the Amendoeira Golf Resort on Portugal's Algarve at the end of the month, but in the meantime. Marc forms part of a new-look half back line alongside Aidan O'Mahony and Adrian O'Connell.
