South Kerry clubs St. Michael's/Foilmore and Skellig Rangers will contest the All-Ireland intermediate and junior club finals at Croke Park on Saturday. In the opening game at 6pm, Skellig Rangers face British champions John Mitchells, who have beaten fancied Moynalvey (Meath) and Killala (Mayo) sides in their last two outings. Skellig Rangers will carry the mantle of favourites, but their Liverpool opponents certainly cannot be taken for granted. "I think we will have to put in a massive hour," said Rangers manager Paul Murphy. "We will be in for a savage battle against this club. They are a good side and they are up for it. We will be going up to Croke Park determined to bring the cup back to Portmagee!" In the intermediate final at 7.45pm, St. Michael's/Foilmore face Galway champions St. Michael's. The Westerners put out a fancied Ballyroan Abbey - 2006 Laois senior champions - in the semi-final, and again will be no pushover for Kerry's finest. Looking ahead to the final, St. Michael's/Foilmore manager James Mike O'Sullivan said: "You have to make hay while the sun shines and there can be only one result for us above in Croke Park. We have to win it. We have to bring the cup back with us. The two cups (including the All-Ireland junior) have to come down. One is not enough." Tweet
