Another camogie controversy has been brought to a close after Patricia Jackman was belatedly crowned All-Ireland senior Poc Fada champion last night.

The Waterford woman took the title for a record seventh year in-a-row after confusion had arisen over the final score in Saturday's event on the Cooley Mountains. The Camogie Association sought clarification after the wrong score for Jackman had been posted, which led runner-up Catriona Daly from Galway to believe she had won her first title.

However, it was confirmed last night that Jackman's score of 27 pucks and 34 metres was two metres more than that posted by Daly.

Catherine McGourty from Down finished third with Clare's Aisling Corbett taking fourth place.

Former Tipperary goalkeeper Brendan Cummins won the men's competition for a ninth year on the trot.
